The technologist will carry out duties as directed by the senior members of the team or Manager and will be expected to carry out daily testing requirements in an efficient and accurate manner.The Technologist - Laboratoryis responsible for ensuring the quality, durability, and reliability of cement used in critical applications such as wellbore integrity and zonal isolation. This role tests cement blends to ensure they meet engineering specifications by adhering to procedures and calibration standards as set out in API schedule 10B. The Technologist - Laboratory role is also responsible for upholding exemplary safety standards and data reliability.General Responsibilities:Perform routine cement lab testing in the areas of well service cementingUnderstand the operation, calibration, and maintenance of specified lab instrumentsBe able to obtain, document and submit accurate results in a clear and concise format to the Engineering teamEnsure and maintain documented compliance withSanjel Energy's Quality Programs and related operational standards.Successfully deliver small projects while working closely with senior staff to ensure objectives, timelines, and quality standards are metBe able to work and operate within the lab under minimal supervision when requiredOn-call and overtime is required to support operations and business needs.This position will be required to work shared / rotational on-call as requiredQualifications:Chemistry or Petroleum related Diploma or DegreeAble to work a dedicated M-F,



1pm - 10pm shiftStrong interest in solving chemical/engineering challengesAgile and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentExperienced in optimizing and continually improving processes, utilizing data management systemsAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and/or operating and maintenance procedures/manualsAbility to understand instructions in written, oral or diagram formClass 5 driver's license with clean drivers abstractSanjel offers individuals a agile work environment.
