Position SummaryCSN Dundas Valley is looking for an Auto Body Technician to join our team. The Auto Body Technician must be able to take a vehicle in a damaged state and repair or restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The incumbent is detail‐oriented, can multitask to accommodate shifting priorities, and reports to the General Manager.Primary ObjectivesReview work order and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performedThoroughly examine collision damage – review all vehicle exterior body parts, check all power accessories (door locks, windows, mirrors), ensure the dash panel has no warning lights, and identify any prior damages overlooked on the QA checklist or supplemental damage sheetPerform structural and complete body repairs: repair and replace front end components, body components, doors, frame, and underbody components; assess, repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessoriesStraighten bent frames using frame‐and‐underbody pulling and anchoring equipment; hammer out dents and other defects using blocks and hammersWeld on vehicles with MIG welders and compression spot weldersDismantle the damaged vehicle areas to identify hidden damages early in the repair cycle; for example, remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills using wrenches and a cutting torch, bolt or weld replacement parts into place, and repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofFile, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand toolsOperate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents,
