**Position Overview**
Our major client is seeking a
**Senior Deskside IT Site Support Specialist**
to support and administer the project computing workplace throughout project mobilization, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
This position serves as the primary site IT resource and works closely with project stakeholders, corporate IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure the reliable delivery of technology services, communications infrastructure, end-user computing support, collaboration platforms, and digital project systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network connectivity, mobile devices, printers, and collaboration tools.
Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripheral devices.
Perform install, move, add, and change (IMAC) activities and re-image returned devices for redeployment.
Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Share
Point, One
Drive, Word, Excel, Power
Point, and project-specific software.
Configure and support Android and iOS mobile devices, including corporate email and collaboration tools.
Coordinate user access requests and support approved Active Directory security group assignments.
Support communications and connected technologies including radios, tablets, satellite phones, and other field devices.
Act as onsite support for corporate Infrastructure, Platform Services, Service Delivery, and Cybersecurity teams.
Assist in the deployment and support of collaboration platforms, digital field solutions, and turnover systems.
Maintain technology asset inventories and lifecycle management records.
Develop and maintain user guides, technical procedures, and end-user communications.
Coordinate site technology readiness activities including infrastructure planning, telecommunications, networking, procurement, and mobilization efforts.
Deliver IT services in a professional, customer-focused, and efficient manner while supporting project personnel and leadership teams.
**Qualifications**
Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
4 to 10 years of experience supporting end-user computing environments and desktop technologies.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop and laptop environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, Active Directory, Android and iOS mobile devices, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
Understanding of basic networking concepts and wireless connectivity.
Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently within a project and construction environment.
Strong organizational skills and commitment to safe work practices.
**Additional Information**
Position will begin with a training period in a Calgary office before transitioning to a project construction site in Alberta.
Monday to Friday work schedule.
Reports functionally to the Project Information Management Lead and works closely with corporate IT and project services teams.
