Position: Senior Business Analyst

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong business analysis expertise to support complex enterprise I⁢ initiatives.

The successful consultant will bring 5+ years of Business Analysis experience, with demonstrated expertise assessing business problems and opportunities, gathering and documenting requirements, conducting business and process modelling, and translating business and data requirements into specifications for technology solutions.

Scope

Assess complex business problems, opportunities and requirements and translate them into comprehensive business and technology requirements.

Lead requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement activities with business users and subject-matter experts.

Conduct business, use-case, conceptual and logical data, process and data-flow modelling.

Support business-process improvements through re-engineering and cost-effective service-delivery approaches.

Assignment Deliverables

Gather, analyze, document and validate business and I⁢ requirements with key stakeholders.

Develop business models, use cases, process flows, data-flow models, business rules and non-functional requirements.

Produce comprehensive requirements documentation, presentations, briefing materials and supporting analysis.

Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses and feasibility assessments for technology initiatives.

Expertise Required





Must Have:

5+ years of demonstrated Business Analysis experience.

Experience leading and conducting business analysis to assess business problems and opportunities and documenting requirements so appropriate I⁢ solutions can be determined.

Experience conducting business analysis at varying levels of detail throughout different phases of complex technology projects.

Experience working with enterprise project-management methodologies, architecture practices, gating processes and systems-development methodologies.

Hands-on experience with business modelling, use-case modelling, conceptual and logical data modelling, process and data-flow modelling, business rules and non-functional requirements.

Strong experience developing requirements-gathering approaches using methods such as JAD sessions, stakeholder interviews and mockups.

Nice to Have:

Previous public-sector experience.

Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.

Experience translating business and data requirements into specifications for technology solutions.
