As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Communications & Spectrum Dominance (CSD) Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, national security, search & rescue and airborne law enforcement agencies.

From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

Primary Responsibilities: All tasks are performed under the direction of Manufacturing Engineering staff
Support Manufacturing Engineering in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro optical manufacturing issues.

Create and maintain documentation to support manufacturing changes, including assembly procedures, Work Instructions and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) authoring.

Attend and provide responses to daily cell standup meetings.

Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and procedures for WESCAM products.

This includes control plans, tooling and test procedures.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Develop and maintain preventative maintenance documentation for manufacturing,



assembly and/or testing equipment.

Design of jigs and fixtures for new processes.

Operate and maintain 3D printing systems.

Track projects actions and status.

Time studies
Attend project meetings and record action items.

Develop dashboards and data visualizations using Share

Point and PowerBI
Management of small-scale projects.

Required Capabilities: Able to read and understand Mechanical drawings and Electrical schematics.

Experience using Solid

Works, Composer and AutoCAD an asset
Programming using C#, Matlab, Labview and/or Windows Presentation Foundation an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable working in a pressured and highly energetic environment.

Organized, efficient, and able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.

Punctual, reliable, and follows up on action items.

Experience leading small teams or groups
