**Job Title: Dozer Operator**
**Job Description**
Operate dozers on a large construction project, supporting civil earthworks and underground trenching activities in an outdoor environment.

This role focuses on accurate grading, trench support, and collaboration with other equipment operators and laborers to safely install underground utilities.
**Responsibilities**
Operate dozers to support civil construction and earthworks activities on a large project.

Perform trench digging, trench support, and backfilling for underground utility installation.

Achieve and maintain accurate finish grade as required by project specifications.

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions on a large, active construction site.

Assist with trenching operations in coordination with excavator operators and other crew members.

Work in tandem with an excavator operator and potentially an additional laborer to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Support underground trenching work for mechanical and utility trades as needed.

Use shovels and other hand tools to complete fine-detail work and clean-up around trenches and utilities.

Follow site safety procedures and apply knowledge from CSTS 2020 and Ground Disturbance training.

Travel reliably to and from the work site using personal transportation.

Work 12-hour shifts, primarily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work.

Record hours accurately on client timecards in accordance with site requirements.
**Essential Skills**
Proven experience operating dozers in civil construction or earthworks environments.

Hands-on experience with trench digging, trench backfilling, and finish grading.

Ability to perform outdoor work in a busy, large-scale construction setting.

Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the work site.
CSTS 2020 certification.

Ground Disturbance certification.

Experience working safely around underground utilities and trenching operations.

Ability to work 12-hour shifts and maintain productivity throughout extended hours.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience operating a skid steer.

Experience operating a mini excavator.

Experience with trenching equipment.

Background in civil construction and earthworks projects.

Comfort working alongside excavators and coordinating tasks with other equipment operators.

Ability to use shovels and hand tools for detailed grading and clean-up work.

**Work Environment**

The role involves operating heavy equipment and working closely with excavator operators and laborers in a coordinated team environment.

Shifts typically run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with additional work available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Overtime applies after 44 hours per week.

The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with exposure to weather conditions and standard construction site noise and activity.

Appropriate workwear and safety gear are required in accordance with site safety standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
