Located in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, Beaumont is a vibrant and growing municipality where you'll have the opportunity to make a visible difference through meaningful municipal infrastructure work.The Public Works Teamis looking to hire two Labourers from November 4, 2026 – April 16, 2027, with a can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills to join their team to ensure our roads and trails, assets and infrastructure are maintained at a level that our residents expect and appreciate. Reporting to the Team Lead, Roads & Drainage, and Team Lead, Parks, the Labourers are responsible for maintaining municipal assets and infrastructure including Roads, Trails, City owned Parking lots and Drainage systems. The individuals we're seeking are service focused, have excellent communication skills, and always has safety top-of-mind. This position will work 40 hours per week.What YOU Are Responsible for:Operate snow moving equipment – skid steers, tool cats, brooms, blades, tractors, blowers, sanders etc.Complete daily inspections and work orders/service requests through Cityworks software in a timely mannerOperate snow removal equipment safely and effectivelySnow and ice control/removal; sanding on sidewalks, trails, and parking lotsMaintain equipmentAbility to read and understand municipal maps and landmarksCollect and dispose of garbage and litter when neededDeliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to stakeholders and residentsEnsure adherence to Legislative regulations, Safety Directives and procedures and all respectful workplace standards.Report unsafe conditions and near miss incidents promptly.Attend regular safety meetings and promote a positive attitude.Assisting other service areas when needed and other duties as assignedWhat YOU Bring:Previous experience operating snow moving equipment – skid steers, tool cats, brooms, blades, tractors,



blowers, sanders etc.Able to shovel snow for long periods of time if neededHigh School Diploma or GED with two-years related work experienceEquipment Operator trainingClass 5 Driver's LicenceProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and database management)Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable safety related legislation, regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practicesExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsFirst Aid and CPRAssets:Experience with City works or other service request tracking softwareProblem solving and trouble shooting with equipment and situational awarenessBarricading, Flagman, Fall Protection, Electrical Awareness, and WHMISClass 3 driver's license with Q endorsementAs the successful candidate you will have the ability to:Meet the physical requirements, including lifting heavy equipment and materials up to 23 kilograms (50 lbs.), adhering to long periods of standing and sitting, working in all weather conditions, etc.Provide a clean criminal record checkProvide a driver's abstract that demonstrates responsible and safe driving behaviorAdhere to all safety standards and promote the organization's health and safety programKeep detailed, accurate records in accordance with established policies and proceduresWork and communicate effectively with the team, management, other city departments, and residentsWhat WE Offer:A rate of $23.51 – $30.68 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)40-hours per week (some evening and weekend work may be required)Membership to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation CentreFree parking at City facilitiesAnd an amazing team to work with!!The City of Beaumont is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer.
