We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants and oversee a portfolio of private company clients.

Position

Notion CPA Inc. is looking for a driven Corporate Accounting Manager to join their team. If you are a hardworking, self-motivated, independent thinker this is your calling.

Note that this position is in-office during probation and will then be moved to an optional hybrid work from home. Staff are required to be in the office 3 days a week.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation. Your expertise will help drive strategic financial planning through budgeting and account analysis, supporting the company's growth and stability.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and passionate about maintaining robust financial systems using leading accounting software tools.

Duties:

- Manage a portfolio of private company clients across various industries.




- Review Compilations and Corporate income tax returns (T2), GST, payroll, and other compliance filings.
- Review and assist with personal tax returns during tax season.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor senior accountants and staff accountants
- Plan engagements and ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Build solid client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
- Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities for clients.
- Assist with corporate reorganizations and other advisory engagements.

Qualifications:

- CPA designation in good standing.
- 5+ years of recent Canadian public practice experience in a senior role
- Previous experience reviewing compilation and corporate tax engagements.
- Strong understanding of ASPE and Canadian corporate tax.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
