Overview The Carpet Studio is hiring a full-time Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper to own our payables, customer invoicing and day-to-day bookkeeping. You'll work directly with our controller in a small office where your work is visible and the books actually matter. This suits someone accurate and organized who would rather run a clean set of books than be one seat in a large department.

Duties

- Enter and process accounts payable — vendor invoices, matching to purchase orders and receiving, and payment runs
- Invoice customers, issue statements, and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Reconcile vendor statements and company credit card statements monthly
- Enter job costs and keep coding accurate against each job
- Support month-end close alongside the controller
- Handle vendor and customer account inquiries
- Maintain vendor files, filing and general office bookkeeping

Experience

- 2+ years in accounts payable, bookkeeping or a similar accounting role
- Accurate with numbers,



and able to catch your own errors before they reach the controller
- Able to keep pace with a steady invoice volume without falling behind
- Accounting or bookkeeping diploma an asset; equivalent experience considered
- Construction, trades or flooring industry experience is an asset but not required
- Job Runner specific experience is an asset

What we offer

- $55,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 (flexible to this exact time)
