We’re recruiting an Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist for a growing Canadian equipment rental company. This contract role is suited to someone who can get up to speed quickly, stay organized across a busy customer portfolio and handle payment conversations professionally.

Equipment rental invoices can change as rental periods are extended, equipment is returned and additional services or charges are applied. You’ll work with customers and branch teams to resolve questions, keep accounts accurate and follow up on outstanding balances.

What you’ll do

- Review accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue balances by phone and email.
- Apply customer payments and investigate short payments, missing remittance details and account discrepancies.
- Review rental invoices, contracts and supporting records to help resolve billing questions.
- Coordinate with branch operations, sales and accounting to confirm charges, purchase orders and approved adjustments.




- Maintain clear notes on customer conversations, payment commitments and outstanding issues.
- Prepare account statements and provide updates on collections activity.
- Support other AR and administrative tasks as needed during the contract.

What you bring
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing or a similar accounting role.
- Confidence speaking with customers about overdue payments while maintaining a constructive relationship.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate discrepancies across invoices and account records.
- Experience using accounting software and Excel.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and contribute with limited ramp-up time.
