Help transform lives as an Addictions Counsellor at the ‘Na̱mg̱is Treatment Centre in Alert Bay. Focus on providing essential support services to First Nation clients through tailored counseling and recovery programs. In this role, you will report to the Treatment Centre Manager, delivering both individual and group addiction counseling.

You will also create effective treatment plans and facilitate life skills training. Responding to crises and providing referrals are vital components of your support to clients. Key Responsibilities:

- Offer personalized one-on-one counselling sessions
- Create and implement effective treatment plans
- Lead group sessions to foster communal support
- Coach clients on life skills pertinent to recovery




- Conduct crisis interventions and referrals as necessary Requirements:
- Recognized counselling certification in addiction
- Two years of relevant experience in First Nation environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in basic computer usage and First Aid certification a plus
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search Utilize your empathy and critical thinking skills to make a lasting difference for clients at the ‘Na̱mg̱is Treatment Centre.
