Administrative Assistant II - Part-time, Term - Clearwater B.C.
Yellowhead Community Services Society is a not for profit, integrated health/social service agency with offices located in Clearwater, Barriere, Merritt, Lillooet, and Ashcroft. We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant II - Part-time, 8 Month Term to join our team in Clearwater, BC.
Key Duties:
- Provide reception and front-office support, including answering and directing telephone calls, greeting clients and visitors, responding to general inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, correspondence, document preparation, record keeping, and maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
- Provide administrative support to programs, management, and other staff as required.
- Assist with basic day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing and recording deposits and donations.
- Assist with general payroll administration, including entering payroll information, maintaining employee payroll records, and supporting payroll processing as required.
- Assist with other general administrative functions, including maintaining supporting documentation and ensuring records are complete and accurately filed. Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, client, payroll, financial, and organizational information.
- Provide coverage for the administration team, as required.
- Perform other related administrative and bookkeeping duties as assigned.
Hours of Work: Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday – Wednesday, with the potential for picking up on-call shifts. This is a 8 Month Term (October 2026 – May 2027) Part-time position for 21 hrs per week. This term may be extended dependent on program needs and contract funding.
Qualifications:
A combination of office administration, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience is preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook, is required. A diploma or certificate in office administration, bookkeeping, business administration, or a related field is preferred; however, applicants with equivalent experience, demonstrated skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply and will be considered.
The successful applicant must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, organization, professionalism, and confidentiality. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal record check. A valid driver's licence, acceptable driver's abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Current First Aid certification would be an asset.
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Ability and willingness to learn administrative, bookkeeping, payroll, and organizational processes and software.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and maintain organized electronic and paper records.
Compensation: Rate of pay for this position is dependent on a combination of education and/or experience and ranges from $21.54 (Step 1) to $23.81 (Step 3). A competitive benefits package is available.

Home Share Provider - Clearwater B.C.
Yellowhead Community Services (YCS) is looking for an individual,
couple or family willing to become the Home Share Provider for a social, easygoing and good-natured woman in her sixties. This individual does have diverse abilities and health challenges predominantly related to aging and is wishing to continue to reside in the Barriere or Clearwater area. As a Home Share Provider, you will provide ongoing support and guidance building life skills, assisting with meal preparation, accessing community resources, and services. You will encourage inclusion within the home such as sharing meals, sharing hobbies, playing cards etc. as well as supporting inclusion in community. This could look like attending local events, beach days at the lake, going out for coffee, volunteering and supporting connection with friends and peers as examples.
You will be responsible for the safety, support, and well-being of this individual. You will ensure the individual is accessing appropriate medical and dental care. Also, you will assist with nurturing positive relationships with friends, family, and support networks. This is a 24/7 position; however, additional supports will be provided and you will have access to and the support of the Home Share Coordinator.
The contracted amount for this position ranges from $880.33 to $5,015.00, with an additional $841.13 provided for room and board.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting with showering and personal hygiene
- Meal preparation, and medication reminders
- This individual requires partial or full support in daily activities
- Supporting a client with significant mobility challenges and fall risk
Basic Requirements:
- Relevant training and/or previous experience working with individuals with diverse abilities.
- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Valid BC driver’s license and acceptable Driver’s Abstract.
- Criminal record check.
Be willing to obtain/complete the following:
- Physician’s letter of valuable health.
- Three letters of reference.
- A satisfactory home-study.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate.
- A signed declaration of confidentiality and a signed release of information
