Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support III - Registration position reports to the Team Lead and Supervisor, RSPI Southwest Zone. Under general supervision, this role performs a variety of administrative duties related to patient registration and admission services. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients and/or parents to obtain accurate information and processing inpatient and outpatient admissions and registrations across various registration areas within Chinook Regional Hospital.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications: Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
Medical
Terminology and keyboarding proficiency are essential; testing will be administered for both. Knowledge of legislation governing the access, privacy, and disclosure of patient information is required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, supported by strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor while managing stressful situations with empathy, sensitivity, courtesy, and tact. Able to prioritize workload, adapt to frequent interruptions, and perform effectively in a fast-paced workplace. Must be available to work all shifts based on operational requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a medical office setting, switchboard operations, and familiarity with Connect Care Patient Access, Netcare, and Person Directory are considered assets.
