Department Engineering Reports to Engineering Manager Location Ottawa office

Responsibilities

- Generation and assistance with applicable drawings and reports;
- Work with CAD designers to achieve project goals;
- Test and report on new CAD design programs;
- Coordinate with the survey systems department and design and development departments as necessary on relevant aspects of design duties;
- Assemble/Disassemble and test airborne survey equipment and birds;
- Understand, comply and promote all company safety precautions and policies including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; and
- Other duties as required to complete projects.

Qualifications And Experience

- Current enrollment in aerospace, mechanical, or similar engineering programs at an accredited university with third year course completion;
- Knowledge of structural design including truss analysis, and mechanics of materials;
- Knowledge of basic programming (including C++, Matlab/Scilab)



and logic-based systems would be considered an asset;
- Excellent report writing skills;
- Familiarity with CAD principles and techniques for technical drawings;
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and;
- Familiarity with hand tools, fabrication skills of any discipline, and/or straightforward electrical circuits are considered an asset.
