After School Program Leaders & Inclusion Support Workers (Part-Time School Year Positions)

Pay: CA$16.85–CA$25.91 per hour

BGC Greater Fredericton (formerly the Fredericton Boys & Girls Club) is seeking enthusiastic, caring, professional and dependable After-School Program Leaders & Inclusion Support Workers to help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children ages 5–12.

School Year Position - Southside location

- Part time school year
- Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Could consider someone available 4 afternoons.

As After-School Program Leaders & Inclusion Support Workers , you will:

- Lead and supervise engaging activities such as homework support, arts and crafts, sports, gym games, STEM activities, and group games.
- Foster positive relationships with children while serving as a positive role model.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment where every child feels included.
- Supervise participants and support their social, emotional, and recreational development.
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff to deliver high-quality after-school programming.
- Follow BGC Greater Fredericton policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.

We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with children ages 5–12 (daycare, camps, recreation, after-school programs,



or similar settings). Please indicate if you have Support Experience.
- Knowledgeable about positive child guidance and behaviour management strategies.
- A strong communicator with leadership and teamwork skills.
- Energetic, dependable, organized, and enthusiastic.
- Passionate about creating positive experiences for children.

Working conditions

- Ability to work flexible hours as required
- Able to lift moderately heavy items/equipment needed for activities
- Able to participate in a variety of program related activities such as swimming and running
- Physical stamina to remain enthusiastic and maintain a protected environment for children in various conditions (hot summer weather, cold snowy weather, etc.). Walking, running over various types of terrain (gym, trails, snow banks, hills, water, etc)

Screening Requirements The successful candidate must successfully complete all required screening, including:
- Reference checks
- New Brunswick Social Development Check
- Clear NB Criminal Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
