MagnaGolf Club, one of Canada's most exclusive private clubs located in Aurora,Ontario, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual tojoin our team as an Assistant Food and Beverage (F&B;) Manager at ourprestigious private club. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 yearsof experience in management within the food and beverage industry, with astrong passion for wine and extensive knowledge of different varietals,regions, food pairings and a passion for connecting with people. This positionrequires exceptional communication skills, the ability to form and createrelationships with members and peers, and the expertise to curate and manageour wine program.

- · Assist the F&B; Manager in overseeing allaspects of the club's food and beverage operations, ensuring our exceptionalservice standards are maintained and member satisfaction.
- · Collaborate with the F&B; Manager to enhancethe club's dining experience, including providing feedback on our menus,pricing, promotions and member events or special projects.
- · Maintain a thorough understanding of the club'swine program, including selection, inventory management, and staff training.
- · Curate and manage our extensive wine list,considering various regions, vintages, and styles.
- · Collaborate with the culinary team to createwine pairings that complement the menu and drive sales.
- · Provide wine recommendations and educate guestsabout different wines, regions, and flavor profiles.
- · Ensure proper wine storage and inventorymanagement.
- · Conduct wine tastings and education sessionsfor staff, members, and their guests.
- · Stay current on industry trends, new winereleases, and emerging wine regions.
- · Build relationships with wine distributors andattend wine events to expand knowledge and network.
- · Train and mentor service staff on wine servicetechniques and knowledge.
- · Supervise and train F&B; staff, ensuringconsistent service standards and adherence to club policies.




- · Assist in managing the club's budget,monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-control measures.
- · Collaborate on organizing and executing specialevents, private functions, and member activities.
- · Ensure compliance with health and safetyregulations.
- · Handle member feedback and complaints promptlyand professionally.
- · Assist with inventory counts monthly.
- · Communicate with Food and Beverage Managementregarding all aspects of operations.
- · Ensure all menus are correct and current.

Candidate Requirements

- · Minimum of 3-5 years of management experiencein the food and beverage industry.
- · Experience in a golf club environment will beconsidered a strong asset.
- · Strong passion for wine and extensive knowledgeof different varietals, regions, and food pairings.
- · Excellent communication skills, both verbal andwritten.
- · Proven ability to build and maintain positiverelationships with members, staff, and vendors.
- · Exceptional organizational and multitaskingskills.
- · Strong leadership qualities.
- · Proficient in computer applications, includingMS Office and POS systems.
- · Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- · Full flexibility to work a variety of timesincluding evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- · Certification from a recognized sommelierprogram is preferred.
- · Must have reliable transportation as there isno access to public transportation.
- · Must be eligible to legally work in Canada.
