Role Description

SYSTECH Audio Visual & Lighting Canada Inc. is looking for an AV Estimator to join our growing team in the GTA.

The AV Estimator will assist in preparing estimates and proposals for audiovisual projects by reviewing project requirements, drawings, specifications, equipment, materials, labour requirements, and other project costs.

Experience or a background in audiovisual (AV), estimating, construction, engineering, or a related field is an advantage. However, we also welcome candidates who are willing to learn and be trained in AV estimating.

Key Responsibilities

- Review project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and other tender documents.
- Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for AV projects, including equipment, materials, labour, and other project requirements.
- Obtain and review pricing and quotations from suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare material and equipment take-offs based on project requirements.
- Work closely with the Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams in preparing estimates and proposals.




- Assist with bid and tender submissions and related documentation.
- Review project requirements for potential cost considerations and alternatives.
- Maintain organized estimating files, quotations, pricing information, and project documentation.
- Keep up to date with AV products, equipment, pricing, and installation requirements.
- Perform other estimating and project-related duties as required.

Qualifications

- Experience or educational background in AV, estimating, construction, engineering, electronics, technology, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous estimating experience is preferred but not required for a candidate who demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Valuable mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read or learn to interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Willingness to learn AV systems, products, installation practices, and estimating processes.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
