Busy Southeast automotive repair shop seeking a 1st-3rd year automotive service technician apprentice to join our team!

Who we are looking for:

- Preference will be given to applicants in their second or third year of apprenticeship, but applicants of all levels are welcome to apply and will be considered.
- A safe, reliable, registered automotive service technician apprentice with a good attitude who has an eagerness and willingness to learn and fine-tune your skills.
- You must hold a valid class 5 drivers license and be willing to provide a clean drivers abstract upon request.
- Someone who is flexible and adaptable. This job is unpredictable - changing weather and road conditions mean no two days are the same. We need someone who is willing to work in all conditions and be able to keep up with the physical demands that come with being an automotive technician.
- You must be able to provide your own basic tools
- Someone who isn’t afraid to ask for advice, help and/or clarification when they need it! We don’t expect you to know everything, but we do expect you to ask for help when you need it.
- A person who takes pride in doing the work right the first time and pays attention to the small details so we can keep our customers safe, happy and on the road.
- Someone who is able to multitask and lend a hand where needed.
- Someone who takes pride in keeping their work workplace clean and safe for themselves and all other workers.

What a day at the shop will bring:
- Something new everyday! Our customers provide us with a variety of vehicles with a variety of issues and needed repairs; no two days are the same
- Performing repairs, preventative maintenance checks and services to all vehicle systems including, but not limited to:

-Electrical systems (i.e., installing starters, changing bulbs, repairing wiring, etc) -Steering and suspension (i.e., replacing tie rods, alignments, shocks/struts/coil springs, control arms and/or ball joints, etc)

-Brakes (i.e., replacing brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake hoses and lines, flushing and bleeding brake systems, etc)

-Tires (i.e., swapping wheels, tire rotations, mounting and balancing tires, etc)

-Driveline (i.e., replacing U joints, flushing driveline fluid systems, etc)

-General maintenance (i.e., oil changes, engine and cabin air filter replacements, flushing fluids as needed, spark plug replacement, etc)

- You’ll review work orders and vehicle conditions in collaboration with service advisor and senior technicians to proactively identify suggested services.
- Recommend repair work based on your opinion upon review of the vehicle to ensure safety of the vehicle, the operator and other drivers.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
