At Fresh St. Market's Café Department, we provide a wide variety of fresh, high-quality products with a strong emphasis on local and specialty items designed to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. We make and serve beverages, such as coffee and tea, and foods, such as muffins or cookies. We also maintain clean work areas, update displays, and inform customers about specials, promotions, and new items.

Reporting to the Department Leaders, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Overview

- Bring a positive attitude every day
- Greeting customers and assisting them with questions and recommendations
- Makes certain that displays are filled with products and not low on merchandise or empty
- Ensures that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors
- Follows all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies
- Performing any additional duties assigned by the Department Leaders

Street Credentials

- You have an impeccable level of cleanliness, attention to detail and organization




- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to shifting priorities
- You are highly self-motivated and work well under minimal supervision
- You possess strong customer service skills
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You work well with others in a high-pressure environment
- Previous experience working a cash register is a requirement
- Previous work experience as a barista is a plus but not required. If you are willing to learn, we are eager to train you with the skills you need to succeed
- You can work on your feet up to 8 hours in a day
- You have a valid work authorization (i.e., work permit, student permit, PR) in Canada
