Since 2000, Fresh Cup Saanichton is an award-winning cafe, winning best cup of coffee and roasted beans 18 years in a row. We are the only mirco-coffee roaster on the Saanich Peninsula, serving farmer-friendly, organic coffee.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team! This role is perfect for someone who loves creating memorable customer experiences, has a passion for quality food and beverages, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a key team member, you will be responsible for preparing delicious drinks, serving customers with a smile, and supporting various operational tasks to ensure our venue runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring their satisfaction
- Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and integrity
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety




- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, counters, equipment, and dining spaces throughout shifts
- Support food service operations by serving food items promptly and assisting with basic food preparation when needed

Skills

- Proven experience as a Barista, or in the food service industry
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
