Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista // All arounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

This person will also perform duties in the back of house, prepping food, and front of house, delivering food and processing payments.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Utilize POS systems to process orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, dining area, and equipment to adhere to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food handling guidelines.
- Demonstrate basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Cleaning duties including dishes, washrooms, sweeping and mopping

Requirements

- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Proficient in time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to follow health regulations related to food handling. Current food handlers certificate or willingness to obtain




- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Must possess strong attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation.

Please note this position requires climbing a set of stairs, while carrying food or beverages as well as some lifting. Pay: $17.60-$19.20 per hour
