About Cafe Cristal

Cafe Cristal is a welcoming café in Barrhaven, Ottawa, offering specialty coffee, teas, desserts, and a variety of café-style food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and passionate Barista to join our team.

Position Overview

As a Barista at Cafe Cristal, you will prepare high-quality beverages while providing friendly and memorable customer service. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare espresso-based drinks, coffee, teas, matcha, specialty beverages, and other menu items
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and bar area
- Restock ingredients and supplies
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with food and dessert preparation when required
- Handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods




- Work collaboratively with the café team
- Create a welcoming and positive experience for every customer

Qualifications
- Previous barista or café experience is an asset
- Knowledge of espresso preparation and specialty beverages is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Evening and weekend availability is an asset
