BGDISC Marketing Co-op Student
Location: Remote
Eligibility: "Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application."
Start Date: Versatile; Applicants seeking either a Fall or Winter Co-op term are encouraged to apply
Compensation: $21 per hour (35 hrs/week)

The Bruce Grey Data Information Sharing Collaborative (BGDiSC) is a collective of not-for-profit, social service, government, health and education organizations that mobilizes community decision-makers in the Grey Bruce region to share vital local rural data to better inform regional programming, polices, funding and social services to support prosperity, sustainability and the well-being of the community. The BGDiSC platform provides data without barriers from various community stake holders in Grey and Bruce counties.
About the Position
BGDISC is seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Co-op Student to join our marketing team. This role will support the marketing team in executing marketing strategies across multiple channels to promote the BGDISC platform and will be an excellent introduction to the marketing field where you will gain valuable, real-world experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media (Instagram,
Facebook and LinkedIn), email (newsletter development) and digital advertising.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Support social media growth and management efforts, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
- Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including list management, content creation, and performance tracking.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of marketing databases, mailing lists, and contact lists.
- Assist in the development of marketing collateral, including presentations, brochures, and promotional materials.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and training opportunities.
- Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by the marketing supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
- Pursuing education in Marketing, Communications or related field
- Microsoft Office experience is a must-have
- Experience in MailChimp, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud is an asset
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video) using relevant and innovative social trends
- Strong communication skills and detail-oriented
- Creative and organized
- Excellent team player with a personable and positive attitude
Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 per week
