We are hiring a Bilingual Social Work Therapist to work with persons who have sexually offended and are currently on probation in the Ottawa area.

In this role, you would be an independent contractor working 2 or 3 half days a week in person.

We are seeking a clinical social worker to join our team who can display caring, understanding, and compassion for our clients, while using motivational interviewing to help them move towards change. It is a requirement to work well with the probation officers and the mandates of probation offices. Additionally, maintaining positive interactions and an openness to learning as a member of Randy Scott Clinical Services.

Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Clinical Services at Randy Scott Clinical Services, you will be providing counselling to assigned sexual offence-specific Probation and Parole cases referred by the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario, in a Probation and Parole office.

Responsibilities

- Providing individual counselling to assigned cases.
- Follow the outline in the staff handbook to work with clients in a manner that is approved by the Ministry of the Solicitor General Ontario.
- Meet the company's contractual obligations to the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario.





Succeeding as a Counsellor – Randy Scott Clinical Services will require the following core qualifications and skills:

- Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology.
- Skilled College membership and valid professional liability insurance.
- Minimum of two years post-graduate counselling experience delivering cognitive behavioral therapy.
- A strong Master Social Work student could be considered for educaitonal placement.
- Experience and confidence to work with individuals who have complex issues and challenges, including domestic violence, sexual acting out, addictions, social exclusion, and involvement with the justice system.
- Ability to write reports in French, clearly and concisely and to submit them in a strict timeline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English, with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- You are required to provide your own laptop, and phone.
