Our client, a Banking company, is looking for a Bus Systems Analyst V for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

- Work in close partnership with business partners / technology / pod members and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed business systems requirements.

- Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing current state system capabilities and defining technology solutions options / recommendations working closely with key technology partners (e.g.

Solution

Architects and Quality Assurance staff)

- Define, document and translate business requirements into detailed level user stories including functional specifications and non-functional specifications

- Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing

- Support and contribute to agile ceremonies/activities by participating in the standups, story refinements and estimating of feature efforts, risks identification and mitigation measures recommendation, communicating activity status and providing timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems to the pod.

- Participate in quality management reviews, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements

- Collaborate with pod members and key stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration

- Provide operational / process related analysis and support to various extents

- Ensure best practices related to the BSA discipline are adhered to and enforced within project processes and deliverables

- Adhere to client processes/standards including requirements management and project management disciplines, well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards, and business technology architecture, escalating escalate issues as required





- Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in client services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery

- Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services

- Maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle

- Able to perform BSA tasks effectively while assigned to a single project or multiple concurrent projects.

- Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality requirements/user stories and meet timelines

- Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.

- Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units;

- Coach new or less experienced colleagues and act as a reference for the requirements management lifecycle

- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team Additional Information

Requirements:

- Degree/Level of Education: Post secondary in Computer Science or Engineering is an asset

- Certifications Required: Agile certification is an asset

- Years of Overall Experience: 10+ years of experience

- Preferred Candidate Background: someone who understands databases very well

- How will performance be measured: Hitting deliverables and timelines, quality of work

- Provide support and produce detailed system requirements and technical / functional specifications in alignment with standards and frameworks.





- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable working with both Business and Technical teams

- Expert knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise including design, development, testing and project management/SAFe agile methodology

- Advanced to Expert understanding of business supported and broader organization

- Works independently as the senior or lead system analyst and coaches/ guides members within area of expertise

- Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams and may be involved in the assessment of potential projects

- 10+ years of BSA experience

- Thorough understanding of API (back-end systems, documentation)

- Jira, Confluence

- Agile delivery experience

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

- Organized, strong attention to detail

- Can work independently well

- Strong problem solving skills

- Banking or financial institution experience

- Agile certification
