Quad Infotech Inc. develops advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software used by steel manufacturers across North America. Our software supports critical manufacturing operations and helps our customers manage production, inventory, quality, and operational processes.

We are looking for Business Analysts to join our Agile/Scrum teams. This is a technical and customer-facing role where you will work closely with customers, solution architects, developers, and product teams to understand complex business problems and turn them into effective software solutions.

We're looking for people who are analytical, curious, logical, and comfortable solving problems where the answer isn't always immediately obvious.

This position is well suited to engineering graduates and early-career professionals who enjoy problem solving, analyzing systems and processes, and learning how software can be used to solve real-world problems in the steelmaking industry. You'll receive hands-on training in our software and in steelmaking processes, including visits to customer mill sites, with a path to senior BA or project lead roles.

What You’ll do

As a Business Analyst, you will work throughout the software development and implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and customer support.

Your responsibilities will include

- Analyze complex business and manufacturing processes and translate operational requirements into transparent, actionable requirements for software development teams.
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business processes, operational challenges, and software requirements.




- Work with developers, solution architects, and product team members within an Agile/Scrum development environment to design and implement software solutions. Create process flows, functional specifications, diagrams, data mappings, and other documentation to communicate requirements and solutions.
- Perform user acceptance testing and validate that software solutions meet business and technical requirements.
- Investigate software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and work with development teams to identify and resolve problems.
- Support software implementations, training, commissioning activities, and customer rollouts and provide post-implementation support
- Develop BI reports and dashboards to help customers analyze business data and make data driven decisions
- Participate in a periodic after-hours support rotation for production-critical customer issues. Additional compensation is provided for after-hours support.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand complex processes and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.




- Ability to learn new technologies, software applications, and business processes quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through on commitments.

Candidates must hold a valid Ontario G driver's licence (or provincial equivalent) and be eligible to travel to the United States for business.. Up to 20% travel, primarily to customer steel mills in the United States, may be required.

Nice to Have

- Experience with data mapping, data conversion or data integration projects
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, modeling, verification and methodology development
- Experience with relational databases and SQL (from coursework, projects or professional experience)
- Prior experience with steelmaking/ industrial environments preferred, but not mandatory. We’ll teach you the process.

Work Location:

Hybrid remote in North York, ON M2N 6K1. Recent team members work fully in office for the first three months so they can learn our software and processes alongside the team, then move to a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office, 2 days from home.
