Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Cantonese-speaking caregiver to provide exceptional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in north Edmonton. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives by delivering personalized care in a respectful and professional manner.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance,



including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to family or healthcare professionals

Requirements
- Fluent in Cantonese with excellent verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical aspects of caregiving
- Solid caregiving skills including patient care, medication administration, and meal preparation
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life
