Responsibilities

- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication administration, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
- Support clients in engaging with community activities, recreational programs, and skill-building exercises tailored to their interests and goals
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to coordinate care plans and report on progress or concern
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, medication schedules, and any incidents or observations in compliance with organizational policies
- Follow care plans meticulously, adapting support strategies as needed to meet individual needs and preferences
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages independence, participation, and respect for all individuals

Skills

- A degree or diploma in human services from an accredited college or university. Consideration will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled as full time students in an applicable program of study.




- Prior experience in community based human services delivery
- Functionally capable of supporting individuals with physical/mobility challenges.
- Capable of providing direct support to individuals with a range of service requirements including functional independence training, basic personal hygiene, support with medication, community access and housekeeping task
- Proficiency in communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
- Functional awareness of acquired brain injury
- Group facilitation skills.
- Compassionate approach combined with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining professionalism and patience
- Commitment to promoting safety, dignity, and empowerment for every individual served

Your Availability:

- A flexible schedule to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, nights, holidays and pick up shifts on short notice is required.
- Ability to work night shifts (which are either 10 or 11 hours long) on weekdays and/or weekends.
- Relief staff must work a minimum of 8 hours per week on average over a 12 week period to maintain active employment.
- All new hires must be available to successfully complete a robust training program that includes virtual training, CPI, and on-the-floor training.
- Mandatory training is scheduled on weekdays.

Pay: $26.91-$29.52 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 31.0 per week
