Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, cleanings, orthodontics, and pediatrics, providing support with materials and tools.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to assist in accurate diagnosis.
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic, ensuring all information is current and confidential.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.




- Support front office operations by performing dental receptionist duties when needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards to protect patients and staff alike.

Qualifications

- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures, pediatric dentistry, and medical terminology to support diverse patient needs.
- Familiarity with dental assisting techniques, including taking X-rays and assisting with dental procedures.
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in customer service within a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
- Proficiency in using CAD technology for digital imaging enhances diagnostic accuracy.
