Job Summary

We are seeking a energetic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver specializing in Flatbeds, Dry Van, and Reefer units to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating large commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks equipped with flatbeds, dry vans, or reefers to transport freight over long and short distances.
- Secure loads properly using appropriate tie-downs and safety equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and refrigeration units when applicable.
- Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and placement of cargo.
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, delivery receipts, and logs in compliance with transportation regulations.




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on trucks and refrigeration units; troubleshoot issues related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair when necessary.

Experience

- Proven experience operating Class 1 trucks with flatbeds, dry vans, or reefers in a commercial driving environment.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securing loads safely for transit.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts used for loading/unloading cargo.
- Experience with automotive repair or basic truck maintenance is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
