THE OPPORTUNITY

Alberta Construction Rentals is looking for an experienced Class 5 Delivery Driver to join our Calgary operations team.

This is a full-time seasonal position to start, with the possibility of becoming a permanent full time position for the right individual.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and picking up construction rental equipment throughout Calgary and surrounding areas using company-provided pickup trucks and trailers.

Previous experience safely towing, maneuvering, and backing trailers is required.

This is not strictly a driving position. Our drivers are expected to be hands-on and assist with loading, unloading, equipment placement, and general field duties when required.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Delivering and picking up rental equipment from construction sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
- Operating company pickup trucks while towing equipment and utility trailers.
- Safely maneuvering and backing trailers on construction sites, in yards, and in tight spaces.
- Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading rental equipment.




- Performing proper load securement and completing pre-trip inspections.
- Assisting with the delivery and placement of heaters, generators, fuel tanks, hoses, cords, fencing, and other construction rental equipment.
- Verifying equipment and quantities against delivery and pickup paperwork.
- Communicating with dispatch, customers, and field personnel throughout the day.
- Maintaining company vehicles, trailers, and equipment in a clean and professional condition.
- Assisting in the yard, shop, or field when delivery schedules allow.
- Working outdoors in winter and changing weather conditions.
- Following company safety procedures and actively participating in our safety program.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate must:
- Hold a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's licence.
- Provide an acceptable driver's abstract.
- Have previous experience towing and backing trailers.
- Understand basic trailer hookup, safety chains, electrical connections, load securement, and safe towing practices.
- Be punctual, dependable, and reliable.
- Have reliable transportation to and from our shop.
- Be physically capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying 80–90 lbs.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in cold weather and on active construction sites.
- Be able to safely traverse uneven ground and physically demanding job sites.
- Be motivated,



driven, and willing to learn.
- Take direction well and work effectively as part of a team.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and dispatch.
- Be willing to work overtime when required during our busy winter season.

Previous experience in construction, equipment rental, delivery, towing, HVAC, temporary heating, or similar industries is considered an asset. Forklift, skid steer, or other equipment operating experience is also an asset but not required.

Training will be provided for the work and safety certifications required for the position.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal

Schedule: Full-time hours with overtime opportunities during peak season

Work Location: In person – Calgary and surrounding area

Seasonal employees will have vacation pay paid out on each paycheque.

Health and dental benefits are not included with the seasonal position. Employees who are offered and accept a permanent full-time position may become eligible for the company's benefits program in accordance with company policy.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, takes care of company equipment, and can be trusted to represent Alberta Construction Rentals professionally at our customers' job sites.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
