In support of the Mission and Vision of NEXTGEN Mold, Inc., the CMM Operator is responsible for inspecting molds and reporting deficiencies. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the CMM operator ensures first time quality is a priority while also staying on schedule for each job assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using Hexagon CMM arm.
- Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances.
- Responsible for maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Responsible for maintaining the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.;
- Daily, maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs;
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three (3) years’ experience machining/moldmaking
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met
- Robust attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
