You will join our Machine Shop team in Cawston, BC, helping produce the components that go into specialty axle systems built for demanding real-world applications.

Your mission as a Machine Operator is to craft precision components and keep production moving efficiently while protecting quality, safety, and teamwork.

The CNC MACHINE SHOP OPERATOR – EVENING SHIFT Role Summary

Your job is to produce quality components safely, accurately, and efficiently.

You will operate machinery, use inspection and measuring tools, read drawings, handle and finish parts, complete production paperwork, and help keep work moving through the Machine Shop.

You will be expected to work with a reasonable level of independence while knowing when to ask questions, raise concerns, or get support.





Success means producing parts that meet specifications, keeping machines productive, completing work on time, and contributing to a safe and effective shop.

Six Things You Will LOVE to Do

- Operate machines. Set up, run, monitor, and work with machining equipment to produce components accurately and efficiently.
- Measure your work. Use inspection and precision measuring tools to confirm parts meet requirements.
- Work from drawings. Read and follow drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Turn raw work into finished parts. Handle, grind, inspect, and prepare components as required through the production process.
- Keep accurate records. Complete job paperwork, production information, timesheets, and other required documentation.
- Solve problems and improve the process. Notice issues, communicate them early, troubleshoot where appropriate, and contribute ideas that make the shop safer and more efficient.

What You Bring We are looking for someone with:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous manufacturing, machining, or related hands-on experience.
- Comfort using measuring and inspection tools.
- Ability to read and follow drawings and instructions.
- Strong manual dexterity.
- Basic computer skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently after training.
- Willingness to learn KGI's equipment, processes, quality requirements, and safety procedures.

Schedule: Evening shift

Hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation: $24–$28/hour, depending on experience
