Fabbrica Unique is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to set up, run, program, and troubleshoot our five-axis and flat table CNC machining centres. We're a Concord-based manufacturer of custom store fixtures, cabinetry, and millwork for retail, commercial, residential, and builder projects. From design and engineering through production and installation, our team takes pride in precision craftsmanship and delivering projects on time.

This is a hands-on role where you'll keep multiple machines running at once, make sure every part meets our quality standards, and prioritize work so downstream departments like edgebanding, assembly, and finishing always have what they need.

What You'll Do

Set Up and Run the Machines

- Operate five-axis and flat table CNC machining centres safely and efficiently for panel processing, nesting, boring, routing, dadoing, and five-axis machining.
- Set up machines for each job, including loading programs, changing tooling, setting tool offsets, and configuring pods, suction cups, or flat table vacuum hold-down.
- Load and unload sheet goods and panels, ensuring the correct material, thickness, and grain direction.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and cycle times.
- Perform secondary operations on machined parts as needed using the CNC machinery.

Program at the Machine
- Create, edit, and modify programs at the machine using the CNC control and CAD/CAM software (bSolid or equivalent).
- Work with Engineering and CAD/CAM to resolve program errors and improve efficiency and material yield.

Troubleshoot and Maintain
- Diagnose and resolve machine alarms,



vacuum issues, tooling problems, and part quality defects.
- Identify mechanical, electrical, or software issues and escalate when necessary.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, spoilboard resurfacing, and tooling inspection.
- Track tool wear and replace or send out tooling for sharpening as needed.

Keep Parts Moving and Quality High
- Run multiple machines simultaneously, staging material and managing cycles to minimize downtime.
- Sort, label, and stack finished parts by job, cabinet, and next department.
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, hole placement, edge quality, and material defects using tape measures, calipers, and job drawings.
- Identify and flag defective parts, process remakes, and document quality issues.

Prioritize and Communicate
- Review daily production schedules and prioritize jobs based on ship dates, rush orders, and departmental needs.
- Communicate with supervisors and other departments to anticipate material needs and prevent bottlenecks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who has:

- 2+ years of experience operating five-axis and flat table CNC routers.
- A proven ability to troubleshoot machine alarms, tooling, vacuum,



and quality issues.
- A strong understanding of cabinet construction, sheet goods (plywood, MDF, particleboard, melamine), and woodworking tooling.
- The ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and part labels.
- Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- The ability to manage multiple machines and tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise and dust, using required PPE.
