Commercial Door & Hardware Installer

Five2 Project Services Ltd. is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our growing installation team.

We specialize in Division 8 and Division 10 installation. Previous commercial door and hardware experience is an asset, but it is not required. You must have practical experience using hand and power tools, be comfortable taking accurate measurements, and be willing to learn. We can provide training in our products and installation methods.

Candidates with construction, carpentry, renovation, maintenance or other hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced installers and taking on more responsibility as your skills develop, your duties will include:

- Installing commercial hollow metal and wood doors
- Installing door hardware, including exit devices, closers, locksets, hinges, thresholds, sweeps and seals
- Assisting with electrified door hardware and automatic door operators
- Installing lockers and toilet partitions
- Assisting with operable wall installations
- Learning to read door schedules, hardware schedules and architectural drawings
- Measuring, drilling, fastening and making accurate adjustments
- Troubleshooting and adjusting doors and hardware
- Completing deficiencies and final adjustments
- Coordinating with coworkers, site supervisors and other trades
- Maintaining a safe, organized work area and a high standard of workmanship

Who We’re Looking For You do not need to be an experienced door installer, but you should bring solid tool skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

The ideal candidate

- Can safely and confidently use common hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, saws and grinders
- Can read a tape measure accurately and follow installation instructions
- Has a practical approach to solving problems and learning new tasks
- Takes pride in clean, accurate work
- Can follow direction and work independently once trained
- Has their own basic hand tools




- Has a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Is dependable, punctual and communicates well with others
- Is willing to travel within Alberta when required

Experience with commercial doors, architectural hardware, automatic operators, lockers, toilet partitions, operable walls or other Division 8 and 10 products is an asset.
