We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet operating at peak performance. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial vehicles and heavy equipment used in transportation and industrial operations. Your expertise will ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency across all vehicle types, including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and agricultural machinery.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems with precision.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to restore equipment functionality.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble vehicle components.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all maintenance activities performed.




- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate industrial equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on repair status and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Experience

- Proven mechanic experience in a dealership or industrial setting with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar machinery, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills combined with knowledge of schematics are essential.
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques including welding, power tools operation, and mechanical assembly.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems related to vehicle climate control is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for efficient repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-mechanical personnel.
