ABOUT THE POSITION

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is currently accepting resumes for Construction Managers at our various project locations across Northern Canada. This is a full-time, project-based, fly-in-fly-out role subject to a rotational schedule.

The Construction Manager leads overall site construction execution. Working with the Project Manager, this role directs Site Superintendents and coordinates subcontractors and site support teams to deliver the approved scope safely, to the required quality, and in line with the project schedule and budget. The Construction Manager also oversees field planning, performance, and risk, and serves as a senior site contact for the client.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is an asset for the available positions:

· Concrete construction – industrial or mining experience is preferred

· Mine infrastructure construction – including maintenance shops, camps, steel and fabric structures

· Earthworks construction – remote construction or mining construction experience preferred. Project construction activities include:

o Road construction o MSE Wall construction o Tailings infrastructure o Dewatering and water management

· Batch plant construction and operation

· Mine remediation and closure - project construction activities include:

o Civil earthworks o Contaminated soil excavation o Drilling and drillhole abandonment o Thermosyphon installation o Underground backfill o Mine opening closure including concrete caps o Environmental protection measures and water management

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead overall site construction execution in accordance with the project execution plan, contract requirements, approved scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the prime contract,



subcontract flow-down provisions, drawings, specifications, estimate, schedule, and commercial terms. Ensure these requirements are communicated to the site team and reflected in work plans.
- Direct Site Superintendents and coordinate HSE, quality, field engineering, project controls, procurement, logistics, equipment, site services, and subcontractors.
- Lead construction planning and constructability reviews with the Project Manager and site team. Confirm work sequencing, access, resources, and support requirements before work begins.
- Manage the master and look-ahead schedules, with particular attention to the critical path, work-front readiness, productivity, and recovery planning.
- Monitor progress and costs against the approved schedule and budget. Validate labour, equipment, and material forecasts with the Project Manager, Estimator, and Superintendents.
- Identify, assess, and manage scope, schedule, execution, and commercial risks. Notify the Project Manager promptly of potential cost or schedule impacts.
- Ensure changes, client directions, delays, and differing site conditions are documented and managed through the project’s change process.
- Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance, including compliance with applicable contract requirements, schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations.




- Set explicit expectations for safe work and verify that site personnel have the training, supervision, and resources required for their assigned duties.
- Ensure construction work conforms to approved drawings, specifications, work plans, and quality requirements.
- Represent Nahanni in site management and client meetings, and maintain clear communication with the Project Manager on performance, risks, and decisions required.
- Coach Site Superintendents and other field leaders, support their development, and promote consistent leadership practices across the project.

REQUIREMENTS

- At least seven years of construction supervisory experience, including leadership of Site Superintendents or multiple work fronts on complex projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). and experience interpreting schedules, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Knowledge of safety requirements and legislation within the construction/mining industry.
- Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
- Experience with construction planning, subcontract coordination, change management, and field cost control.
- Strong leadership, client communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a remote location.
