About the role

Wadley Contracting Inc. is hiring an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to lead and coordinate construction and renovation projects in Vancouver, BC. You'll supervise crews and subcontractors, keep projects on schedule, and make sure all work meets our quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate construction and renovation activities and projects
- Organize daily work assignments and coordinate and schedule workers and subcontractors
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements
- Read blueprints, drawings, specifications and project instructions
- Requisition and order materials, tools, equipment and supplies
- Train workers or arrange for training
- Lead and instruct crew members
- Supervise bricklayers, tilesetters, glaziers, painters and decorators, drywall installers and finishers, and roofers
- Assist with and supervise work involving drywall, painting, tiling, masonry, roofing, insulation, glazing and general renovation
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a protected, organized work site




- Communicate with clients, contractors and team members

Qualifications

- 2 to 3 years of experience in construction, renovation or related trades
- Experience supervising or coordinating construction workers
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials and workplace safety
- Valid driver's licence
- Must be bondable
- Must supply own steel-toed safety boots
- Trade experience in painting, drywall, tiling, masonry, roofing, glazing or insulation is an asset
