Controller

Location: Woodbridge and Mississauga, Ontario

Reports to: CFO and General Manager

Our client is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for two related companies. The role includes consolidating Canadian dollar results, converting figures for U.S. dollar reporting, and building Power BI reports to support business decisions.

What you’ll do

- Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for both companies.
- Maintain accurate records in JobBOSS ERP and QuickBooks Online, and prepare consolidated financial results.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for company-level and consolidated reporting.
- Review monthly results against budget and identify trends and opportunities to improve performance.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger and month-end close.
- Prepare financial statements, forecasts and management reports.
- Support compliance with US GAAP and applicable Canadian reporting and tax requirements.
- Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external auditors and accountants.




- Develop consistent accounting policies, procedures and internal controls across both companies.
- Contribute to financial planning and policy decisions.

What you bring

- Progressive experience in accounting or controllership, ideally supported by a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Power BI, including reporting across multiple entities.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, cost control and applicable accounting standards.
- Experience preparing financial statements and forecasts across multiple entities and currencies.
- Explicit communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines across two organizations.
- A CPA designation is preferred.
