Join our dedicated team as a Cook/Dietary Aide (with possible PSW shifts if your credentials allow) and play a vital role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals, and healthcare that enhance the well-being and comfort of our residents. .

Duties for cook/dietary aide

- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with meal service, including setting up dining areas, serving residents, and ensuring timely delivery of food.
- Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Support with food handling, storage, and inventory management to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations.
- Help with cleaning duties such as dishwashing, sanitizing kitchen surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness of food preparation areas.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal schedules and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Provide friendly customer service to residents during meal times, fostering a positive dining atmosphere.

Requirements





- Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Knowledge of serving in the food industry an asset
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently prepare meals and serve residents on schedule.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Must provide upon hiring

- A police check with Vulnerable sector within 6 months
- 2 step TB test, and if it is over 1 year ago, an annual 1 step -Food handlers
