OPEN POSITION
Coordinator of Socio-Emotional Wellness – Complementary Services
NATURE OF WORK The Coordinator of Socio-Emotional Wellness provides strategic leadership for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Cree School Board socio-emotional wellness and psychological support services. The coordinator leads initiatives that promote student well-being through culturally responsive and iiyiyiu/iinuu-informed approaches while ensuring alignment with the Cree School Board's Strategic Action Plan.
The Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive framework for socio-emotional wellness services at the Cree School Board. The position works collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to strengthen wellness initiatives, enhance service delivery, and support positive student outcomes.
The Coordinator supervises professional and including psychologists, Counsellors in Re-Education, and other service providers, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the Cree School Board's socio-emotional wellness vision, mandate, strategic priorities, and service delivery framework.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a Board-wide socio-emotional wellness model aligned with organizational priorities and the Strategic Action Plan.
- Lead the development, implementation,
and continuous improvement of culturally responsive social-emotional learning initiatives rooted in iiyiyiu/iinuu values, knowledge, and practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and services through data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement processes.
- Supervise, mentor, support, and evaluate professionals within the department.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, presentations, and strategic planning documents for senior administration and stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
Master’s degree, preferably in Education, Psychoeducation; Social Work or a related area
Five (5) years of experience in a similar position
Oral and written fluency in English is required
Fluency in Cree and French is an asset
Other related professional certifications/ licenses
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Regular full time position.
35 hours per week.
Salary and working conditions in accordance with Cree School Board policies and applicable employment conditions.
