Founded in 1997, Akran Marketing is an award-winning Canadian distributor of promotional products, branded merchandise, apparel, print, signage and event materials.

For over 25 years, we have worked with corporations, universities, hospitals, municipalities, non-profit organizations and other organizations across Canada. We are looking for a motivated and organized Customer Service Representative to join our Ottawa team.

About the Position

This is a full-time, on-site position for someone who enjoys working with customers, is comfortable using computers and online resources, and can manage multiple requests in a fast-paced office environment.

You will work closely with our customers, sales team, suppliers and internal staff to help process inquiries and ensure customer orders and projects move smoothly from request through completion.

Responsibilities

- Respond to customer inquiries by email and telephone in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, pricing and order-related questions.
- Research promotional products and pricing using online supplier databases and resources.
- Prepare information and pricing for customer requests.
- Open, update and maintain customer accounts and records.
- Enter and process customer information accurately.
- Follow up on orders, proofs, production and delivery requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal team members regarding customer projects.
- Help resolve customer service issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications and order information.
- Manage multiple customer requests and priorities while meeting deadlines.




- Work closely with other departments to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

- Previous customer service, office, hospitality, marketing or related experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
- Comfortable conducting online product and pricing research.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to learn new products, systems and processes quickly.
- Positive, professional and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be available to work on-site Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- English/French bilingualism is an asset.
- Previous promotional products, printing, apparel or related industry experience is an asset.

Compensation

$19.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
