Position Description:

Security Clearance: Federal Level Reliability Clearance eligibility is required for this role.

The Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering cybersecurity projects and initiatives from initiation through completion. This role works closely with cybersecurity architects, technical specialists, business stakeholders, vendors, and client teams to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and security requirements.

The Project Manager provides overall project governance, manages dependencies and risks, coordinates technical activities, and supports effective communication between technical and business stakeholders.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Lead the planning and delivery of cybersecurity projects, assessments, implementations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and Proofs of Value (POVs).

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and delivery timelines.

Coordinate activities across cybersecurity architects, engineers, analysts, vendors, infrastructure teams, application teams, and business stakeholders.

Facilitate project kickoff meetings, technical workshops, status meetings, stakeholder reviews, and project closeout activities.

Manage project scope and ensure deliverables remain aligned with agreed objectives, requirements, and success criteria.

Track project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions. Maintain project RAID logs and coordinate mitigation and resolution activities with appropriate stakeholders.

Manage project changes through established change control and governance processes. Coordinate access, infrastructure, security approvals, deployment windows, technical prerequisites, and other dependencies required for successful delivery.

Monitor resource utilization and coordinate resource availability throughout the project lifecycle. Track project budgets, effort, forecasts, and financial performance where applicable.

Provide regular project status reporting to client stakeholders, project sponsors, and internal leadership. Identify schedule or delivery risks early and coordinate corrective actions.

- Ensure cybersecurity activities comply with applicable organizational security policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and project governance processes.



Coordinate project documentation, technical deliverables, reports, presentations, executive-level materials, vendor and third-party activities, final stakeholder readouts, acceptance of deliverables, lessons learned, and project closure.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

5+ years of project management experience, preferably including cybersecurity, information technology, infrastructure, cloud, or technology transformation projects.

Demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, scheduling, risk management, and change management.

Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as identity and access management, network security, vulnerability management, security operations, cloud security, data protection, cryptography, and security assessments.

Experience managing technical implementations, cybersecurity assessments, POCs/POVs, or security transformation initiatives.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical specialists and senior business stakeholders.

Experience managing RAID logs, project plans, status reports, budgets, resource plans, and executive reporting.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies in complex enterprise environments.

Assets

PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification.

Cybersecurity certification or training such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent is an asset.

Experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments.

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, or applicable Canadian cybersecurity requirements.

Experience coordinating cybersecurity vendors and technology partners.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role.



The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy
