Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Informatica Data Governance and Marketplace solutions . The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of governance frameworks, metadata management, and data marketplace capabilities while collaborating across business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Informatica Governance & Marketplace Development

- Configure and implement Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) governance capabilities
- Develop and maintain Data Marketplace solutions for self-service data discovery

- Configure and manage

- Business Glossary

- Data Catalog

- Data Marketplace

- Metadata Management

- Data Lineage

- Data Quality integrations

- Data Stewardship workflows
- Build metadata ingestion pipelines and automate metadata harvesting
- Configure workflows, approvals, and governance controls

2. Data Governance Enablement

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define governance requirements
- Translate governance policies into technical implementations

- Establish

- Data domains

- Ownership models

- Stewardship assignments

- Data classifications
- Implement governance standards, controls, and best practices

3. Proof of Concept (POC) Delivery

- Plan and execute a phased Governance & Marketplace POC
- Gather requirements, define scope, and design solutions
- Recommend MVP capabilities for rapid delivery
- Demonstrate business value to stakeholders

4. Integration & Collaboration

- Integrate governance solutions with:

- Azure Data Platform

- SQL Server

- Power BI

- Other enterprise data sources
- Work with data engineers, business analysts, and governance teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning

Requirements





Required Qualifications

- 5+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data management
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Informatica tools
- Experience with one or more:

- Informatica Data Catalog
- Informatica Data Governance & Catalog
- Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC)

- Informatica Data Marketplace

- Solid knowledge of

- Data Governance frameworks

- Metadata Management

- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Data Quality & Data Lineage
- Experience integrating Informatica with cloud/on-prem systems

- Proficiency in SQL

- Experience in Agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK principles
- Experience implementing enterprise data catalogs
- Familiarity with data privacy & regulatory compliance
- Informatica certifications (nice to have)
- Experience in financial services / insurance / regulated industries

Deliverables

- Develop a phased Governance & Marketplace POC
- Configure metadata ingestion and cataloging
- Establish business glossary and stewardship workflows
- Implement data lineage and discovery capabilities
- Configure Data Marketplace for pilot use cases
- Produce technical documentation and KT materials
- Support transition from POC to production
