We are looking for an Intermediate to Experienced DC Power / Facility Technician to join our field team.

This is a hands-on technical position focused on the installation, upgrade, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of DC power systems and associated critical infrastructure.

Frequent travel is a core requirement of this position. Applicants must be willing and able to travel for work, including flights, driving, overnight stays, and extended project assignments when required.

We are looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a field team.

Responsibilities

- Install, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot DC power systems
- Install and replace rectifiers, batteries, DC distribution equipment, controllers, breakers, cabling, and associated components
- Perform battery installations, replacements, migrations, and commissioning
- Complete DC power cabling, terminations, labeling, and equipment connections
- Perform equipment turn-up, testing, verification, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot DC power equipment, alarms, wiring, and system issues
- Safely perform work around live DC power systems and critical infrastructure
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation
- Follow Methods of Procedure (MOPs), project documentation, and customer/site requirements
- Perform site surveys and document existing equipment and conditions
- Complete required quality-control and project documentation
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, organization, and professionalism
- Communicate effectively with project managers,



customers, site contacts, and other technicians
- Follow all company, customer, and site health and safety requirements

Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience with DC power systems, telecom power, critical facilities, electrical infrastructure, or similar equipment
- Intermediate to experienced technician-level knowledge
- Good understanding of DC electrical fundamentals and safe work practices
- Experience with rectifiers, battery systems, DC distribution, controllers, breakers, and DC cabling is preferred
- Comfortable using digital multimeters and other electrical test equipment
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid driver's licence
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently for work

Travel Requirements This is a travel-based field position. Candidates must be comfortable working away from home on a regular basis.

Travel may include

- Domestic and/or cross-border travel depending on project requirements
- Air travel
- Driving to project locations
- Overnight hotel or accommodation stays




- Multi-day or multi-week project assignments
- Returning home between assignments based on project schedules
- Occasional weekend or off-hours travel/work

Travel expenses and accommodations are provided/covered in accordance with company travel policy. Candidates who are not comfortable with frequent travel should not apply for this position.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a technician who understands that field work requires flexibility, accountability, quality workmanship, and travel. You should be comfortable arriving at a project site, reviewing the scope and documentation, working safely around critical DCinfrastructure, communicating with the project team, and completing assigned work to a professional standard.

Experience in telecom DC power is strongly preferred, but candidates with relevant electrical, battery, critical-power, or facility infrastructure experience are also encouraged to apply.

Pay: $24.00-$33.00 per hour
