Job Summary The employer is seeking an experienced and organized Delivery Drivers Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a fleet of drivers delivering automotive parts throughout Vernon and surrounding communities. The successful candidate will supervise delivery drivers operating 3-ton and 5-ton trucks, coordinate delivery schedules, ensure compliance with company safety standards, and maintain efficient transportation operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Main Duties

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of automotive parts delivery drivers.

Assign delivery routes and ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Monitor driver performance, attendance, productivity, and compliance with company policies.

Establish work methods and procedures to improve delivery efficiency and customer service.

Resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, and transportation-related problems.

Train new delivery drivers on job duties, company procedures, safe driving practices, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Ensure drivers comply with provincial transportation regulations, commercial vehicle requirements, and company policies.

Conduct vehicle inspections and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs with the maintenance department.

Monitor delivery documentation, proof of deliveries, fuel records, and driver logs for accuracy.

Coordinate daily transportation activities with warehouse staff, inventory personnel, dispatch, and management.

Recommend hiring, discipline, performance evaluations, promotions,



and other personnel actions.

Maintain records relating to employee attendance, delivery performance, accidents, and safety incidents.

Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet operational requirements.

Order or requisition transportation-related materials and supplies as required.

Perform other related supervisory duties assigned by management.

Employment Requirements

Completion of secondary school is required.

Several years of experience as a delivery driver, truck driver, or in motor transport operations are required.

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is considered an asset.

Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driving record.

Experience operating 3-ton or 5-ton delivery trucks is preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple delivery schedules in a fast-paced workplace.

Proficiency with delivery scheduling systems, GPS, and basic computer applications.

Work Conditions

Combination of office, warehouse, and outdoor work.

Regular communication with drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers.

Occasional operation of company delivery vehicles when operational requirements demand.

Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on business needs.
