Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring optimal patient flow
- Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and transparency
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain organized electronic medical records (EMRs) and ensure all patient documentation complies with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence to support daily office operations
- Coordinate communication between patients, dental staff, and external providers to facilitate seamless care delivery
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical/dental office setting with robust office experience
- Proficiency in dental practice management software such as ABELDENT or familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) systems is highly valued
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare environments
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy front desk environment
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly yet skilled demeanor
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems confidently while providing outstanding customer service
- Prior experience working with medical or dental office procedures, including insurance verification and billing processes
