Job Opportunity: Design Engineer - Nacelles

Responsibilities

- Produce and update technical drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation;
- Apply established engineering principles to support structural design, repairs, and minor modifications;
- Support design reviews;
- Ensure engineering data is accurate, complete, and compliant;
- Support engineering activities related to nacelle components (fan cowls, air inlets, thrust reversers, fairings, acoustic panels, etc.);
- Apply existing knowledge of nacelle structures and continue developing nacelle-specific expertise;
- Support updates to repair development and design;
- Perform basic structural assessments and engineering calculations;
- Contribute to the preparation of justification and technical substantiation documents;
- Provide support for investigations related to non-conformances and service findings;
- Work closely with production and quality departments to ensure designs are practical and feasible;
- Provide technical support to the shop floor and participate in problem resolution;
- Understand and integrate maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) constraints such as access, tooling, and turnaround time;
- Follow established engineering, quality, and design processes;
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements;
- Provide support for audit preparation and technical reviews, as needed;
- Actively develop technical skills in aerospace design and nacelle structures;
- Contribute to the development of best practices in standard repair and engineering;
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile




- You hold a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sectors;
- You have experience with aircraft structures and/or nacelle systems, strongly preferred;
- You have hands-on experience with CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred; NX or SolidWorks acceptable);
- You have working knowledge of aerospace materials and basic structural concepts;
- You are familiar with technical documentation and configuration control;
- You have a strong engineering foundation combined with a practical mindset;
- You are able to work with limited supervision on defined tasks;
- You are detail-oriented with strong documentation quality;
- You are collaborative and open to feedback;
- You are interested in developing technical specialization;
- You are bilingual (French and English).
