Position Overview
We are looking for a creative, proactive, and hands-on Digital Content & SEO Specialist to join our Marketing team.
This role combines content creation, social media, website management, and SEO. The successful candidate will create engaging photo, video, and written content, manage and update FEIA’s website, and implement SEO strategies to improve the school’s online visibility and organic search performance.
The ideal candidate enjoys working on campus, capturing real student experiences, creating engaging content, and turning those stories into strong digital marketing content.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation
- Create engaging content for FEIA’s digital channels, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, website, and other platforms.
- Take high-quality photos and videos of students, activities, events, campus life, and school experiences.
- Create short-form videos including Reels, Stories, Shorts, and promotional videos.
- Edit photos and videos for social media, website, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop creative content ideas that showcase student life and the FEIA experience.
- Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and other marketing assets.
2. Website Management
- Manage and regularly update FEIA’s website with fresh and relevant content.
- Publish news, events, student stories, announcements, photos, videos, and program information.
- Improve website content, structure, images, headings, and internal linking.
- Monitor website performance and identify opportunities to improve user experience.
3. SEO
- Support and implement FEIA’s SEO strategy to improve organic search visibility.
- Conduct basic keyword research and identify relevant search opportunities.
- Optimize website pages, titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, images, and content.
- Create SEO-friendly content for key topics such as international education, boarding school, studying in Canada,
student life, and FEIA programs.
- Monitor organic traffic, keyword performance, and search visibility.
- Identify technical and on-page SEO issues and work with the appropriate team members to resolve them.
- Build and maintain an ongoing SEO content plan.
4. Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Support the planning and execution of FEIA’s social media content calendar.
- Prepare and publish regular content across appropriate channels.
- Write engaging captions and short-form copy.
- Monitor engagement and content performance.
- Use content across multiple channels to maximize its value and reach.
5. Student Life & Event Coverage
- Attend and capture key student activities, school events, trips, celebrations, sports, and special moments.
- Proactively look for compelling stories and moments happening around campus.
- Provide photo and video coverage before, during, and after events.
- Highlight student achievements, experiences, and stories through digital content.
6. Marketing & Event Support
- Support the Marketing team with campaigns, promotional activities, and school events.
- Assist with event photography, video, signage, displays, and other marketing needs.
- Support other marketing projects as required.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, SEO, or communications (relevant post-secondary co-op work terms or school internships count toward experience).
- Strong visual skills: Demonstrated proficiency in photography, videography, and short-form video editing.
- Content & Design Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom), CapCut, Canva, or similar creative software.
- SEO & Digital Analytics: Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and SEO research tools like SEMrush or similar platforms.
- CMS Experience: Hands-on experience updating web content (e.g., Webflow, WordPress,
or similar CMS platforms).
- Comfortable working with students and people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Creative, proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
- Able to work flexible hours when required for special events or activities.
- A portfolio of photography, video, social media, website, or SEO work is an asset.
The Ideal Candidate Someone who can walk around campus, notice a great student moment, capture it through a photo or video, turn it into engaging social media content, and also understand how that content can support the FEIA website and SEO strategy.
