Real-Time Virtual Support Program (RTVS) is RCCbc’s flagship provincial program, delivered in partnership with the First Nations Health Authority, the BC Ministry of Health, and regional healthcare partners. The program provides rural, remote, and Indigenous frontline healthcare providers with 24/7 access to virtual physician and specialist support through a network of peer-to-peer clinical pathways. RTVS is transforming healthcare access and outcomes across BC.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, RTVS, the Director, Clinical Supports provides strategic and operational leadership for the RTVS program’s clinical pathways and provider-support services. Leading a multidisciplinary team this role ensures the effective integration of clinical practice, physician services, frontline operations, and technical support. The Director is responsible for the overall performance, sustainability, and integrity of the Clinical Supports Team, ensuring services are accountable, efficient,



and aligned with RTVS priorities to support healthcare providers serving rural, remote, and Indigenous communities across BC.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a respected clinical leader with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and strengthening health services across diverse communities. This position requires a graduate degree (in medicine, nursing, health administration, public health or a related health discipline) in combination with a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in clinical services, physician services, health operations or a related environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

This position is open to both physician and non-physician applicants. The salary range for non-physician candidates is $104,183 to $121,547 for a full time position. Physician compensation is based on a 0.5 FTE appointment and PMA-negotiated sessional rates.
